Is fogging more effective than regular cleaning techniques?

The thermal fogging process is a means of applying disinfectant and thus its effectiveness against a given pathogen is dependent on the disinfectant product used. The technique does however have some advantages in the workplace.
Regularly wiping down surfaces with a cloth and normal household cleaning products is likely to be effective against coronavirus and is highly recommended to maintain a sanitary work environment as part of your coronavirus safety protocol. Traditional cleaning methods are however labour intensive, time consuming and difficult to ensure that hard to reach places have been sanitised. For large areas and those that require decontamination, this can lead to long and disruptive downtimes. In these cases, thermal fogging is an extremely efficient sanitization technique and is usually far more cost effective than employing additional commercial cleaners to “deep clean”. The vaporized disinfectant is evenly and quickly distributed throughout the environment, including hard to reach areas. Downtime is limited so work can resume quickly, and an added bonus is that almost no residue is left behind so it’s safe for electronics and your staff.
Don’t believe outlandish claims that the fogging process is inherently more effective at targeting coronavirus, but it is a fantastically efficient method for rapid and thorough decontamination and large-scale surface sanitisation and thus ideally suited to the workplace where time is money.
